Comparison of tissue level of selenium and zinc in patients with nasal polyposis and healthy people

BackgroundNasal polyposis (NP) is an inflammatory condition in nasal and paranasal sinus cavities its pathophysiology poorly understood. It seems likely that the trace elements such as zinc selenium may play a critical role genesis of sinonasal disease.ObjectivesThe aim this study was to investigate these NP compare findings with normal mucosa.Methods & materialsIn descriptive-analytic cross-sectional which done at Imam Khomeini hospital Ahvaz between July 2018 June 2019, levels measured polyp tissues 72 patients (47 men 25 women) were compared healthy mucosa 36 control cases (15 21 women).
